We dont have to be afraid of catching SARS. 我們不必擔心染上SARS. （1）have to“必須，不得不”，強調客觀。dont have to“不必”。如： H

He has to stay at home. 他生病了。他不得不呆在家里。 He doesnt have to do that right away. 他不必馬上去做。 （2）be afraid of sb. / sth. / doing.表示害怕某人/物/做某事，多用于非正式場合。如： They arent afraid of me at all.他們根本不怕我。 A lot of people are afraid of tigers.許多人怕老虎。 Im afraid of walking in the dark.我害怕在黑暗中走路。 拓展： be afraid t

5、o do sth.不敢做某事 Im afraid to be late for school.我不敢上學遲到。 Im afraid to talk with foreigners.我不敢和外國人交談。 Im afraid表示說話人想避免告訴對方不祥的信息，以表示悲哀或同情的語氣，相當于Im sorry to hear/ say that. 如： 你的朋友怕是遭到意外事故了。 Im afraid your friend had an accident. “Im afraid”還表示說話人在拒絕別人的要求，相當于“Im sorry, but.”如： Im afraid I cant help yo

6、u.我恐怕幫不了你的忙。 be afraidthat從句，表示擔心某種情況會發(fā)生。如： He is afraid his father will leave. 他擔心父親會離開。 5. Must we keep the windows open all the time? 我們必須一直開著窗嗎？ - No, we dont have to. 不，我們不必一直開著。 all the time一直，對must的疑問句做肯定回答時用must，否定回答為dont have to或cant，neednt。（這在上一節(jié)我們已經詳細地說明過了） Section B 1. How often does Mr. Brown exercise?布朗先生多長時間鍛煉一次？ How often對頻率提問，回答用once/ twice/ three times. a day/ a week/ . exercise在這里為動詞，意思是“鍛煉，運動” 2. have to與must的用法的區(qū)別 （1）must和have to都可以表示“必須”，must著重說明主觀看法，have to比較強調客

16、觀需要。如： The young must be polite to the old. 年青人必須對老人有禮貌。 My bike is broken, I have to walk. 我的自行車壞了，我不得不步行。 （2）have to有各種時態(tài)的變化，其變化與行為動詞have相同，一般將來時可以寫成will have to，一般過去時為had to，一般現(xiàn)在時單三形式為has to。而must無論什么時態(tài)中只有一種形式。如： Ill have to look after my brother at home. 我將不得不在家照看我的弟弟。 He has to see the doctor.他

17、不得不去看醫(yī)生。 I had to stay at home last night.昨晚我不得不呆在家里。 （3）must的否定形式為must not。意為“不應該，一定不要，禁止”語氣很強烈。回答must引起的問句，肯定回答用must，否定回答用neednt，cant或dont have to，意為“不必”，而不用mustnt。have to的疑問句和否定句隨時態(tài)，根據(jù)人稱選用助動詞do的各種形式。 如：Must I go tomorrow?明天我必須去嗎？ - Yes, you must. - No, you dont have to. No, you cant. No, you need
