toinvestigatepeoplewhofitapredeterminedprofile.Itcanalsobepariofanunofficial
policy,anaspectofthepolicedepartment'sculturepasseddownfromveterancopsto
newcomersontheforce.Sometimesitsimplyresultsfromanofficer'sexperience.After
