1、Module 4 Carnival = 1 * ROMAN I. 教學內容分析本模塊的主題是狂歡節。以西方的幾種主要傳統節日作為導入,接著通過各種活動詳細介紹了狂歡節的歷史、發展、種類及人們的活動、飲食、服飾和習俗。其中有關食物和節日的詞匯,和表達喜好和厭惡的句型又可以引申到中國傳統節日和習俗,有益于培養學生的跨文化意識。本模塊從五幅西方節日圖片的探討開始,導入本模塊的話題Carnival。Introduction 部分設計以西方的五種主要傳統節日(Carnival, Holi, Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving Day)作為導入,讓學生通過圖片做配對練習了
2、解西方的節日習俗,激發學生對西方節日的好奇心,達到導入整個模塊的效果。Reading and Vocabulary介紹有關狂歡節的一些知識,主要介紹了狂歡節的面具。課文前后的四個相關練習幫助同學們學習和了解了相關詞匯和文章主旨。Grammar部分主要是通過練習復習被動語態在各種時態中的運用的語法項目。Vocabulary and Listening分為詞匯部分和聽力兩大部分。詞匯部分學習和鞏固一些關于食物的單詞;聽力部分是關于西方節日的,對于同學們來說,聽力材料偏生疏,因此聽力要做一定的處理。Learning to learn 是關于通過聽聽力提高語音面貌的英語學習方法,對于提高學習策略水平有
3、很大的幫助。Everyday English通過學習復習Vocabulary and Listening中的句子學會一些非常有用的日常生活用語:give up, go wild about, more or less, high spot, funnily enough, in your blood, wash down 和 walk off a meal。Function介紹表達“喜歡、不喜歡和偏愛”的功能用語。Reading and Writing集說話和寫作于一體,培養的是學生語言綜合運用的能力。首先是閱讀一篇講述親歷Notting Hill carnival的Email。其次探究描寫氣
4、氛、音樂和食物的形容詞。最后仿寫一篇Email介紹中國某個節日的氣氛、音樂和食物。Cultural Corner 通過閱讀The Meaning of Carnival的文章,了解狂歡節的意義和發展演變,并且要求同學們思考哪一個中國節日最像狂歡節,進行跨文化的思考。Task要求學生小組合作寫一篇文章介紹一個中國節日。II學情分析高二學生已經具備一定的詞匯量和語法知識,在教學中要有意識地培養他們聽、說、讀、寫綜合運用語言知識的能力,尤其是閱讀能力。通過本單元的學習,培養學生的世界觀,進一步了解外國文化和風俗習慣,才能達到英語教學的基本目的。III. 教學重點和難點1.
