一、名詞的概念表示人、事物或抽象概念的詞叫做名詞。

二、名詞的分類按照意義劃分,名詞可以分為專有名詞和普通名

詞兩大類。1.專有名詞

專有名詞表示特定的人或物,如人名、地名、機構組織名稱等,

首字母須大寫,有些須帶定冠詞。如

普通名詞表示某類人或某類事物的名稱,又可分為四類。

1)個體名詞:指人或物的個體,可以計數。如:abook,two

books';ateacher,severalteachers

2)集體名詞:指一群人或物的總稱,有些可數,有些不可數,而

有些總以復數形式出現。

可數集體名詞,如:class,team,family

不可數集體名詞,如:furniture,equipment,machinery

復數形式的集體名詞,如:people,police,clothes

3)物質名詞:表示不能分為個體的物質,為不可數名詞。如:

meat,milk,gold,cloth,land

4)抽象名詞:表示人或物的品質、狀態等抽象概念,為不可數名

詞。如:friendship,hunger

三、名詞的計數按照名詞是否有復數形式,還可以把名詞分為可

數名詞和不可數名詞,可數名詞的復數形式構成有規則變化與不規則

變化之分。1.規則可數名詞復數形式的構成詳見學生用書。2.不規則名

詞的復數構成主要有以下幾種情況:

1)通過內部元音變換成復數。如:foot-feet,mouse-mice,

man-men

2)通過加-en變為復數。如:child-children,ox-oxen

3)有些名詞單復數同形。如:means-means,species-species,

sheep-sheep

4)外來詞的復數形式。如:analysis-analyses,datum-data,

criterion-criteria3.不可數名詞的計數:不可數名詞的計數須使用〃單

位詞〃。如:
