一、作定語的一般順序

限定詞(定冠詞/不定冠詞/物主代詞/指示代詞)＋表示順序的詞(序數詞/only,same,next,last等)＋表示數目的詞(基數詞/many,other,several等)＋描述性形容詞(beautiful,interesting等)＋(大小/長短/高低/新舊/樣式)＋顏色＋類屬性形容詞(British,English,adult,Pacific等)＋名詞(history,oil,maths,flower等)。如：thefirsttwobeautifullittleyellowwoodenflowervases(花瓶)。

巧記1：縣官行令宴國材。(“縣”指限定詞，“官”指觀點、看法，“行”指形狀，“令”指年齡，“宴”指顏色，“國”指國

籍，“材”指材料。)

巧記2：描繪形狀大長高，新舊顏色老與少，(再看)國籍和材料，作用類別(往后靠)。

巧記3：美(描述性形容詞)小(大小)圓(形狀)舊(新舊)又黃(顏色)，那是法國(國籍)木(材料)書(類別)房。

二．形容詞后置的情況

1）。當形容詞修飾不定代詞one,no,any,some或every構成的復合詞，如：something,anything,nothing

2)以a開頭充當表語的形容詞必須后置

四：形容詞與副詞比較級和最高級的基本用法

1．原級比較的基本用法

(1)在肯定句中，用“as＋原級＋as”的結構。

HeisasgoodaworkerasPeter.(＝HeisaworkerasgoodasPeter.＝HeissuchagoodworkerasPeter.)他和彼得一樣是個好工人。

Myhandwritingisasbeautifulasyours.我的書法和你的一樣好。

(2)在否定句中，用“as/so＋原級＋as”的結構。

Iamnotas/sobusyasIusedtobe.我沒有過去那么忙了。

(3)“as...as...”結構中，第一個as為副詞，第二個as為連詞。

我們生產的拖拉機的數量和去年一樣多。

其他用法：

asmuchas與表示數量、時間、價格、距離、等計量單位的名詞連用時，往往不表示比較而是構成一個形容詞詞組，意為“重達……，多達……，高達……，深達……”

(1)運用“比較級＋than”的結構可以表達一方超過或低于另一方的情況。

(2)“比較級＋and＋比較級”意為“越來越……”。

(3“the＋比較級(…)，the＋比較級(…)”，意為“越……(就)越……”。

(4)the＋比較級＋ofthetwo＋名詞結構。

（1）表示“寧愿……而不愿……”，

（4）no/not+比較級＋than的特殊含義

notmorethan+數詞“至多……；不超過……(客觀數字）

特別提示：manymore只能修飾可數名詞復數形式。muchmore既可修飾不可數名詞，也可構成比較級。manymoreworkers還有很多工人

muchmoremoney還有很多錢muchmoreimportant更重要的3．最高級

（1）最高級表示在三者或三者以上中程度最高的比較方式，其句式為：“the＋形容詞/副詞最高級＋名詞＋表示范圍的短語或從句”Jackisthetalleststudentinhisclass.杰克是他班上最高的學生。

六．比較中的省略

(1)在as...as中，as從句可省略整個謂語部分，保留主語

Shesingsaswellashersister.她跟她姐姐唱得一樣好。(省去了does)(2)可以省去部分謂語，保留主語和be，have或助動詞

Susanhasdoneasmuchhouseworkasyouhave.(省去了done)蘇珊跟你一樣已干完了家務。

(3)可以省去主語和謂語，只剩下狀語

ItisnotascoldinBeijingasinDatong.北京的天氣沒有大同冷。

(4)than從句也可以省去整個謂語部分，保留主語

（七）倍數的表示法

1.數字+times+比較級+than
