1、Period 5 Writing; Cultural Corner; Task; Module File 整體設計教材分析This period contains four parts. The first part aims at improving students logical thinking by placing random sentences in order. They are also expected to put what they learned into practice, that is, to write a short paragraph about heal

2、th problems. In the next part, they will learn about the health care system of some countries such as Britain, America and Canada. Through the reading of this passage, not only will their reading skills be trained, but they will also reflect on the health care system of our own country and thus know

3、 better about our country. Students are required to prepare a survey about healthy living in Task, which can not only train students speaking ability, but also can raise students awareness of cooperation. The last part is actually a summary of the whole module, through which students may know where

Ask a good pair to present their dialogue to the whole class. Step 2 Writing 1. Show the following sentences on the screen and ask students to p

Pre-reading 1Elicit students previous knowledge about the situation of health care in China by relating the things concerning health care that happened in our real life. For example, you may wish to mention th

15、e incident in 4 / 17 which a couple tied to each other jumped into the river because they can not afford the expensive medical expenses.2Encourage students to discuss the health care system in some other countries such as Britain, America and Canada, which aims to prepare them for the reading of the

Students work in groups and think of at least five questions about a healthy life style and do a survey with five other students. You may wish to show them some pictures for help. Show the following pictures on the screen. Th

28、e questions you may refer to: How much fruit do you eat. How much sleep do you get. Do you take at least two hours exercise a week. Do you eat much fat, for example, fatty meat. Do you eat a lot of sweet things, for example, chocolate. Do you eat fish once a week or more. 2. Put students into groups

29、 of five to pool their questions, eliminating any repeats, and producing one long questionnaire. They all need a copy of all of the questions.3. Pair the groups. Within the paired groups, students should pair off and A1 should ask B1 group A s questions and vice versa, and note the results.9 / 17 4.

30、 The students can then get back into their original groups of five, and pool all their results. If you wish, they can present them orally to the rest of the class. Step 5 Module File This section lists the main areas of language dealt with in this module. You may wish to use it for repetition, and p

31、ronunciation revision, or you may want to give students ten minutes to go through it, ticking the things they are confident they know, putting a question mark next to those things they are not sure of, and a cross next to those they dont know. This should then be the basis of their own revision of t

Step 6 Summary and Homework The teacher summarizes the contents of this period: this period they learned to write about health care; besides, they read a passage about the health system of some countries such as Britain, America as well as Canada. They also reflected on our own health car
