He isnt tall or short. 他不高也不矮。 英語在受到否定概念限定的部分中一般不用and, 而用or。 e.g. I dont have any brothers or sisters. 我沒有兄弟和姐妹。在以上這種用法中,or相當于and not。試比較:Sophie never cleans or even offers to wash the dishes. =Sophie never cleans and doe

15、nces and check the answers. 3. 探究樂園 一、描述人物外貌的問句。詢問人物外貌時,我們常用“What + do / does + 主語 look like?”這一句型。其中,助動詞用do還是does取決于主語人稱和數的變化:當主語是第三人稱單數或單數名詞時,用does;當主語是其他人稱或復數名詞時,用do。如:What does your sister look like? 你姐姐長什么樣?What do her parents look like? 她父母長什么樣?【鏈接】我們可以用“What+be +主語like?”這一句型來詢問某人的品質、個性等。如:Wha

Many people dont always see things the same way so they may describe the same person differently.1) same和different是一對反義詞,前者表示“相同的,同樣的”,后者表示“不同的;有區別的
33、。” same作為形容詞時往往用在名詞前,且之前往往有定冠詞the。例如:the same way 相同的方法;同樣的路子;同樣的方式 the same person同樣的人;同一個人2) differently是different的副詞形式,在句中修飾動詞,表示“不同地;有區別地”。3) people和person people表示“人,人們”,為復數名詞;person為單個的人,有復數形式。5. Another woman says another adj. 意為“另一” e.g. This sweater is too small. Please give me another big
34、one.這件毛衣太小了,請給我另一件大的。 另外,another還可作代詞,意為“另一個” e.g. I dont like this room. Lets ask for another. 我不喜歡這個房 間,我們要另一個吧。6. Also, they dont always remember well. 當also用于句首時,其后往往有逗號及句子其他部分隔開。這時,also用于修飾整個句子,相當于漢語的“同時;還;而且”。 e.g. Mr. Lis class is interesting. Also, he makes it easy to understand. 李老師的課很有趣,而且
35、非常好理解。also也常表示“也”,往往位于be動詞 后,行為動詞前。e.g. My father can speak English.
