2、. John had a good female friend who is my deskmate (Lily). John got along well with Lily from the beginning meanwhile John always shared many interesting things such as joke, snack and movies with her. Similarly, when John would be late or did not finish his homework, Lily usually helped John before
3、 teacher (Jessie) checking up. They had pure friendship but Jessie at that time suspected they were couples. With the final exam coming Jessie took care of every students learning situation especially whether had phenomena of felling in love in class. John was not a good student in Jessies eyes so h
4、e become a key suspect. One day Jessie call John to her office. She asked John many questions about his and his deskmate Lily. Later John tried to clarify their pure friendship many times however, Jessie confidently and obstinately thought they were couples. Meanwhile Jessie given John two chooses t
5、hat one is if John admit it, he just will write a guarantee and exchange seats. Two is If John deny it, she will call John and Lilys parents to school and get warning. After going out of office John was entangled and did not said it to anyone. A few days later John admit that they were couples final

Define problem: The problem is that John want to avoid more serious problems and get less punishment unless John admit that they are couples, in which case they are pure friendship, but teacher Jessie does not believe

9、 factors such as familiarity with Lily, final exam and not study hard these provide opportunities to created the situation, the conflict arose when John tried to clarify their pure friendship many times but Jessie does not believe it.4. Who do teacher Jessie and John owe their loyalty? Loyalty can h
10、ave several meanings.As the teacher Jessie has different loyalties. She owes loyalty to her employee (School) to educate student and be a good employee. Meanwhile she not only owes loyalty to society to spread knowledge but also educates student how to be a person who is respect the old and so on. F
11、inally, she owes loyalty to students parents to take care of his children in school. As an employee of the school, she has the authority and power to spread knowledge and educate student that what should to do.As the student John own loyalty to his own identity and code of ethics. Because John shoul
12、d study hard in school it is students responsibility. Meanwhile, he should be respect to his teacher. It is a traditional rule in China.5. What is John and Jessies intention?John wants to decrease his punishment and avoids involving my classmate in this things. So he chooses to admit that they are c

14、r parents however, for one hand, John is not honest because John cheats his own heart and lies to Lily. For another hand, in the future she may suffer many disadvantage attitudes of classmates. Finally, they dont own a good friendship again as before. Actually, John should communicate with Lily then

Whatever John chooses any decision either John will tell a lie, affecting Lily reputation and breaking their friendship o

John ignores result such as Lilys reputation and friendship with Lily. John fro

20、re teacher Jessie and John embarrassed by their actions?The John will be embarrassed by his actions because he hurts his deskmate Lilys reputation meanwhile because of Johns choice he not only loses trust in Lily but also loses good and pure friendship between he and Lily. Whats more, more people th
21、ink student should put study in first seat rather than other things.The teacher Jessie may be not embarrassed by her action because she as a teacher perform her responsibility that make a good environment about study meanwhile avoid phenomenon about love. Meanwhile, In the eyes of society, teacher i

What is the symbolism of the stakeholders actions?The symbolism for John is that it is acceptable to admit that they are couples. Based on Utilitarianism John does not want to involve more people such as deskmate L
23、ily, his parents and Lilys parents. For teacher give Johns two choice. It makes John face an Ethical Dilemma which is a situation involves a conflict between a set of choices. We all know what is right and wrong but sometimes a choice is between doing what is right and what is wrong. In this case Jo
24、hn chose admit he does not persuade Jessie to trust him (Leaving an equally right choice undone.) therefore, he has to contradict a personal ethical principle in making that choice. The symbolism for Jessie according to Universal Ethics and Ends-based the Jessie's starting point and result is go
25、od for John and classmates. Meanwhile through Virtue Ethics as popular saying goes in China prevention is better than cure, teacher Jessie is looking forward to eradicating bad atmosphere.推薦精選12. What ethical frameworks are the stakeholders using to make decisions?John was wrong to admit that they a
26、re couples. From a Universal Ethics point of view people can make the best decision that John should be honest and follow you heart to tell teacher that they are just pure friendship. From a Virtue Ethics point of view people they think honest is very important in the day so John should say truth to
27、 correct teachers mistakes.Teacher was wrong to give John choices. From The GOLDE RULE which says that you should treat others as you want to be treated and in this case, If Jessie were John she would also similarly face an Ethical Dilemma when Jessie does not to clarify her Innocence. Conclusion:Of
28、ten there is no right or wrong answer to an ethical decision. However, in this case I think John made the wrong decision. According to Short term versus long term John just considers short term interest and wants to decrease punishment. If he chooses to deny it he will gain a long term advantage alt
29、hough he will involve his parents and Lilys parents.Teacher Jessie made the wrong decision she shouldn't be prejudice to John because he is not a good student. She should treat each student fairly and equally, because it can help all the students forming good habit and building a teacher's dignity.
