Copy only the boundary conditions from previous load setRun the normal mode analysis requesting only 6 modes using Lanczos met

2、hod.Put in PARAM,WTMASS,0.00259 Submit the model to MSC.Nastran for analysisPost-Process results using MSC.Patran.Step 1. Load Case: Load Case/ Create Go to the Load Case and create a new load case name called normal mode.Type in normal mode in box under the Load Case NameClick on the button Assign/

3、Prioritize Loads/BCs,and the menu on the far right will appear.Click on the Displ_translations from the upper left corner to select the boundary condition from previous loadsetClick OK.Click Apply.Step 2. Analysis: Analyze/ Entire Model/Full Run Submit the model for analysis.Analyze / Entire Model /

4、 Full Run.Click on the Solution Type.Select Normal Modes as the Solution Type.Click Solution ParametersSee the menu on next slideStep 3. Analysis: Analyze/ Entire Model/Full Run Uncheck the Large Displacements boxPut in 0.00259 in the Wt-Mass Conversion boxPut in node 0 in the Node I.d for Wt. Gener

5、Click OK to close the form Click on Subcases to bring the form on the far right.Click on the normal mode as the Subcase NameClick on the Subcase Parameters buttonStep 4. Analysis: Analyze/ Entire Model/Full Run Type in 6 in the Number of Desired RootsClick OK to close the formClick APPLYClick on the

6、 Subcases Select buttonStep 5. Analysis: Analyze/ Entire Model/Full Run Select normal mode as the subcase nameClick APPLYClick on the Subcase Select button on the far right menuStep 6. Analysis: Analyze/ Entire Model/Full Run Click on the normal mode and see the selection on the bottom boxClick OKCl

Analysis: Attach XDB/ Result Entities/ Local Attach the XDB result file.Attach XDB / Result Entities / Local.Click on Select Result File.Select the file called w8.xdbClick OK.Click Apply.Step 8. Results: Create/Quick Plot, MODE 1 Create a Quick Plot of the results.Create / Quick Plo

8、t.Select Mode 1 as the result case.Select Eigenvectors,Translational for the Deformation Result.Click Apply.Note: Maximum Deformation is 13.7.These information appear at the lower right hand corner of the plot.Step 9.
