1、Unit 6 When was it invented?Section B葉集實驗學校 武海燕Period 1 Section B 1a-2e 教材分析本單元涉及內容是本書當中比較重要的一部分。被動語態結構及運用是教學中一個難點和重點,也是學生比較不容易理解的部分,因為它是建立在各種時態之上的。另外通過對我們熟悉經常使用的發明物的歷史來開闊眼界,豐富學生的閱歷,使學生養成勤于思考,善于總結的好習慣。 教學目標【知識與能力目標】1) 能掌握以下單詞:crispy, salty, sour, by mistake, customer, the Olympics, Canadian, divide,
2、 divideinto, basket, popularity, look up to, hero, professional 2) 能掌握以下句型: Potato chips were invented by mistake. It is believed that the first basketball game in history was played on December 21, 1891. Dr. Naismith divided the men in his class into two teams and taught them to play his new game.
3、At the same time, they need to stop the competing team from getting the ball into their own basket. These stars encourage young people to work hard to achieve their dreams. 【過程與方法目標】在本課的任務型語言教學中,我將依據課程的總體目標并結合教學內容,創造性地設計貼近學生生活實際的任務活動,吸引和組織他們積極參與,使學生通過觀察、思考、討論、交流和合作等方式,在一種自然、真實或模擬真實的情境中體會語言、掌握語言的應用。【
4、情感態度價值觀目標】 教學重難點 了解世界上一些對人類有著重大意義的發明的相關信息,開闊學生的眼界,養成勤于思考,善于發現的好習慣,培養學生的創造精神。【教學重點】1) 掌握本課時出現的生詞及用法。2) 進行聽力訓練,提高綜合聽說能力。 3) 閱讀短文,獲得相關信息,提高學生們的綜合閱讀能力。【教學難點】1) 聽力訓練2) 閱讀2b部分的短文并完成相關要求。 課前準備 1. 準備錄音機和磁帶;2. 設計課后鞏固練習;3. ppt; 教學過程Step 1. Warm up1. Let Ss look at an interesting picture. 2. Ask some questions
5、 about them. 1. What did they eat? S1: Ice cream. 2. What did the big dog think of the ice-cream? S2: Sweet, cool, and delicious! Well lets look at some other delicious food, please. Step 2. Talking Work on 1a 1. Tell Ss that the words in the box describe how food can taste. Write them under the cor
6、rect pictures. Some pictures have more than one word. 2. Ss work with their partners and try to write some proper words under the pictures. 3. Let some Ss read their answers. Try to remember the new words. Work on 1b 1. Let some Ss read the adjective words in the box. Make sure they all know the mea
7、ning of each word. 2. Ss discuss with their partners. Try to write the name of a different food after each word.Learn the new words together:Step 3. Listening Work on 1c 1. Tell Ss the conversation is about how the potato chips were invented. The story is very interesting. 2. First, let one Ss read

21、 beautiful animals still live on the earth. 現今,這些美麗的動物只有少數幾種還生活在地球上。2) 介詞 with與在意義上有主謂關系的復合結構many young people dreaming of構成短語,用作狀語。4. Basketball has not only become a popular sport to play, but it has also become a popular sport to watch. not only, but also 不但而且 若連接兩個成分作主語,謂語動詞與靠近的主語保持一致。 e.g. Not
22、only the students but also their teacher is enjoying the film. 不僅學生們在欣賞這部影片,他們的老師也在欣賞這部影片。5. The number of foreign players, including Chinese players, in the NBA has increased. 1) number表示數量。由于是單數形式,謂語動詞需要與之相配,故為has increased。這種主語和謂語在數上的匹配稱作“主謂一致”。當主語為復數概念是,謂語動詞用復數形式與之匹配;當主語為單數概念時,謂語動詞則用單數形式。e.g. Pe
23、ople there are very friendly. people為復數概念。 The United Nations is an international organization that tries to find peaceful solutions to world problems. the United Nations是一個組織,為單數概念。2) the number of “的數量;的數目”。作主語時,謂語動詞應用單數形式。 a number of “若干的,一些”,修飾可數名詞。作主語時,謂語動詞應用復數形式。e.g. The number of people kill
24、ed in the accident hasnt been announced yet. 這次事故中的死亡人數尚未公布。 A number of people are unhappy with this decision. 一些人對這項決定并不滿意。 【運用】根據漢語意思完成英語句子,每空詞數不限。(1) 許多孩子正在花園里玩。_ playing in the garden.(2) 花園里孩子的數量是六個。_ children in the garden _ six. 32、made of 是由(材料)制成的 One possible version:This special pen was invented by Liu Jie. It has three colors and is used for taking notes quickly in class. It is very useful if you have a lot to write down. The pen comes with a microchip that can store a list of common words that you will use. You can progr
33、am the words you will use often to each word. When you are writing, you just need to write the short forms with the pen, press a button on the pen and all short forms will change into the actual words. The microchip can contain up to 50 words and you can make changes to the list of words whenever yo
