Unit 1 Can you play the guitar?Section A 1 (1a-2d)一、教學目標: 1. 語言知識目標:1) 能掌握以下單詞: guitar, sing, swim, dance, chess, play chess, draw, speak, speak English, join, club能掌握以下句型: Can you play the guitar? Yes, I can./ No, I cant. What can you do? I can dance. What club do you want to join? I want to join the chess club. 2) 能了解以下語法:情態動詞can的用法 want to do sth.的用法 2. 情感態度價值觀目標:該部分內容貼近學生的生活,談論的話題是能力。通過互相詢問或談論自己或對方在某一方面的能力,可以培養學生的一種群體意識。二、教學重難點1. 教學重點:1) 學習詢問和談論彼此的能力和特長;2) 掌握一些彈奏樂器的表達方式。2. 教學難點:情態動詞can的構成和使用。三、教學過程. Lead in 1. 教師可攜帶一些易于演奏的樂器,也可帶一些演奏樂器的圖片,一邊演示樂器,一邊說: I can play the guitar等;再指著圖片說:HeShe can play the violinBut I cant play it等;然后詢問學生:Can you play the guitar?并引導學生進行簡單的回答。2. Ss look at the picture in 1a. Then read the words and phrases. Let Ss match the activities with the people. Then Check the answers with the class together. . Presentation出示一些反映各種活動的圖片、幻燈片或播放課件,引導學生談論活動: HeShe can danceswimsingBut I cant danceswimsing.等,學習表達活動的動詞短語。. Game (What can I do?) T: Tell your partners what you can do. For example: I can play the guitar. I can sing and dance. Ss work in groups. The let some Ss talk to their classmates in front of the class. . Listening 1. T: Now lets listen to the tape, find out the right conversation, and number them 1-3. (播放lb部分的錄音讓學生聽,引導學生根據所聽到的內容,選出對話的順序,完成1b部分的教學任務。)A: Can you swim?B: No, I cant. A: I want to join the art club. B: Can you draw? A: Yes, I can.A: I want to join the music club. B: Oh, can you sing?A: Yes, I can. 2. Check the answers: (2,3, 1 ) 3. Listen again and answer the questions. 1) In conversation 1, what club does the girl want to join? Can she sing?2) In conversation 2, can the boy swim?3) In conversation 3, what club does the girl want to join? Can she draw?. Pair work 1. Ask the Ss to practice the conversations in 1b with a partner. Then make their own conversations. Work on 2a; T: Now, look at the pictures on P2, listen to the four conversations. Just listen. T: Can she play chess? S1: No, she cant. 2. Ss work in pairs to practice asking and answer about Lisa, Bob and Mary. 3. Ask some pairs to act out their conversations. . Role-play 1. Ask Ss to look at the picture in 2d. Listen to the conversation. Then answer the questions below. What club does Bob join? What club does Jane join?Ss read the conversation by themselves and find the answers to the questions. Then check the answers: Bob joins the soccer club. Jane joins the English and art club. 2. Read the conversation in 2d. Fill in the chart.Namewhat can do clubsBobJane 3. Let Ss read after the teacher or play the recording and let Ss read after the recording. 4. Ss work in pairs to act out the conversation. 5. Ask some pairs come to the front of the classroom. They try to act out the conversation. See which group is the best. . Language points1. Can you play the guitar? can 意為“能夠”,這里用來談論人的能力。 否定形式:cant = can not 不能夠 can 是個情態動詞,不能獨立存在,必須與動詞原形構成句子的謂語。 can 沒有人稱和數的變化。例如:I can speak English well. 我的英語說的很溜。Jack can swim, but I cant. 杰克會游泳但我不會。She cant play chess. 她不會下棋 。play 意為“玩,打;演奏(樂器)” play 后跟體育運動時,不用冠詞。如:play soccer 踢足球 _ 打籃球 play 后跟樂器時,要加定冠詞 the。如:play the guitar 彈吉它 _ 彈鋼琴 2. I want to join the art club. 我想參加美術社團。club 表示“俱樂部”或“社團”。在英、美等國,中小學校會組織各類俱樂部來提高學生的興趣及才能,豐富他們的文化生活。相當于我國中小學校中的“興趣小組”。join v. 參加;加入,此處指加入社團或組織,成為其中的成員。例如:e.g. join the army 參軍 join the Young Pioneer 加入少先隊 join the NBA 加入美職籃3. You are very good at telling stories.你很擅長講故事。be good at sth./doing sth. 表示“擅長于 ; 精通 ”, 后面可接名詞或動詞的ing形式。例如:Mr Li _ languages.
