Thegameisplayedonacricketcourtoragrasscourtofsimilarsize.Thelengthofthecourtcanreach185meters(200yards);Suchavenueismuchlargerthanotherfootballgames(almostfourtimesasbigassoccer).RulesComparedwithotherballgames,thebiggestfeaturesofthisgamearefastspeed,greaterfreedomofmovementoftheball(partlybecauseofthecancellationoftheoffsiderule.)andthefreekickisfarawayfromthegoalpost.Generally,thehometeamhas22players,and18ofthemcanparticipateineachmatch.Rules

Eachgameisdividedintofoursections,eachsectionis20minutes,butlikefootball,therefereecanextendthetimeofthegame.RulesTherearesevenrefereesineachgame.Thegoalhasfourclubs.Ascorebetweenthetworodsinthemiddlescoressixpoints,andascorebetweenthetworodsnexttoitscoresonepoint.RulesAplayermustscoredirectlybeforekickingtheballintotheclub,andtheballcannothithisownplayer.AustralianFootballLeagueFromMarchtoSeptembereveryyear,allAustraliansportsenthusiastsfocustheirattentionontheAustralianFootballLeague(AFL---AustraliaFootballLeague),whichdominatesallmediaandtheheartsofmen,womenandchildrenofallagesAustralianFootballLeagueItisthesportwiththemostfansinAustralia.Especiallywhenitcametothefinals,thewholecountryalmoststoppedforthetwo-hourevent.AustralianFootballLeague
