Thisdocumentcoversthedesignandmanufacturing,installationandtesting,operationandmaintenanceforvehiclefuellingappliances(VFAs)-theassembliesofthepressureequipmentwith
—maximumcompressorflowrate20scm/h,—maximumfuellingpressure200barat15℃,
intendedforthenon-commercialfuellingofnaturalgasvehicles(NGVs)withcompressednaturalgas(CNG).
ThisdocumentisapplicabletoVFAssuppliedwithnaturalgasasdefinedinlocalapplicablegascompositionregulationsorEN16723-2,orwithothergasesmeetingtheserequirementsincludingbiomethane,upgradedcoal-bedmethane(CBM)andgasfromliquefiednaturalgas(LNG)vaporizer(on-siteoroff-site).

5)Fireandexplosionriskpreventionshalltakeintoaccountforeseeablemalfunctionsandmisuse.

AllVFAcomponents,pipingandfittingsshallbemanufactured,markedandassembledinamannersuitablefortheirintendeduse,applyingtheprinciplesofsoundengineeringpractice,tobesuitableforthefullrangeofpressures,temperatures,weatherconditionsandloadingswhichcanoccurundernormalandfaultconditions.
6.3Materials
Allmaterialsshallbe:
a)suitablefortheirintendedapplication;
b)resistanttotheratedtemperatureextremes,corrosion,moisture,naturalgasorbiomethaneandaging.
ThemanufactureroftheVFAshallensurethatallmaterialsusedfortheconstructionofthecomponentsconformtotheirspecifications.ThemanufactureroftheVFAshalldocumentthecompliancewiththematerialspecificationsbyusingmaterialswhicheithercomplywithharmonizedstandardsorarecoveredbyEuropeanapprovalofpressureequipmentmaterials.
6.4InternalsystemsandcomponentsofVFA
6.4.1Fueldeliverysystem
General
ThefueldeliverysystemisintendedtoprovideNGVfuellinguptoamaximumtemperaturecompensatedfuellingpressure200barat15℃.Thefueldeliverysystemshallcontainafuellinghosewithfuellingnozzleandbreak-awaydevice.
Fuellinghose
Thefollowingrequirementsapplytoafuellinghose:
ThefuellinghoseshallbedesignedandmanufacturedforCNGservice.Thefuellinghoseshallbepermanentlymarkedaccordingly.
2)Thefuellinghoseshallbesuitableforuseatatemperaturerangeof-40℃to65℃.
3)TheMAWPshallbepermanentlymarkedonthefuellinghosebythemanufacturer.
4)Thefuellinghoseshallbesubjecttothepropertesting.Testingshallbedoneinaccordancewithapplicableregulations.
