形容詞，副詞比較級和最高級的概念。形容詞和副詞可以靠改變形式來表示程度的不同。我們把這種變化形式叫做比較等級。要比較兩個或兩個以上的人或物時，就必須用形容詞的比較級和最高級。形容詞、副詞有三個級：原級(PositiveDegree)，比較級(ComparativeDegree)和最高級(SuperlativeDegree)。

形容詞比較級和最高級的構成。①單音節和少數雙音節形容詞、副詞的規則變化情況：a.

在原級的詞尾加-er變為比較級，加-est變為最高級。e.g.

如原級以e結尾，則比較級只加-r，最高級只加-st。e.g.

如原級以“輔音字母+y”結尾，要將y改為i，再加-er，-est。e.g.

原級以重讀閉音節結尾，而且末尾只有一個輔音字母(不含字母組合er等)，要雙寫這個輔音字母，再加-er，-est。e.g.

②大多數雙音節和多音節形容詞、副詞的規則變化，是在原級前加more變成比較級，加most變成最高級。e.g.

③有少數形容詞,副詞的比較級和最高級是不規則的。這些單詞的變法需要大家識記。e.g.
