13、l/cards/chess/bridge/badminton打籃球/打牌/下棋/打橋牌/打羽毛球。(2)play表示“演奏,彈奏(樂器)”,這時表示樂器的名詞前須帶定冠詞the。如playthepiano/violin。(3)play表示“裝扮、扮演”。如:playadoctor/LuXun/thefool扮一名醫生/扮演魯迅/裝傻(4)playwithfire玩火,playwithwater玩水,playwithballs玩球,這些短語中的介詞with不能丟。play還有一些其他常見的用法和含義。(5)playsth.forsb.=playsb.sth.為某人播放(6)play+sth.+o
14、n+樂器用某樂器演奏(某樂曲)2.helpsb.dosth.與helpsb.withsth.Canyouhelpkidswithswimming?你能教孩子游泳嗎?Helpsb.withsth.此詞組的意思為“在某方面幫助某人”,還可以說helpsb.dosth.。如果上下文意義較明確時,兩個詞組可以互換。注:在helpsb.withsth.結構中,with是介詞,故動詞應變為doing形式,doing相當于名詞,作介詞賓語。Canyouhelpkidswithswimming?=Canyouhelpkidsswim?3.Can的用法can是英語中最常用的幾個情態動詞之一,它沒有人稱和數的變化
15、,不能獨立作謂語,必須與主要的謂語動詞的原形連用。can本身不表示動作,只表示體力或腦力方面的能力。例如:(1)I/We/You/She/He/TheycanspeakChinese.我/我們/你/你們/她/他/他們/會說漢語。can無人稱和數的變化,表示腦力方面的能力。(2)I/We/You/She/He/Theycancarrytheheavybox.我/我們/你/你們/她/他/他們搬得動這個重箱子。表示體力方面的能力。注:情態動詞本身無人稱和數的變化,后面的動詞用原形。情態動詞的否定式由情態動詞加not構成,如:I/We/You/He/She/It/Theycantswim.cant=c
