These are based on the distance from the hazard。 Two hand controls, two hand trips and electronic presence sensing safeguards need to be set up by a qualified individual to assure they are located a safe

7、distance away from the point of operation. This requires “stop-time measurements” for installation of light curtains, lasers and two hand controls. Two hand trips are based on the cycle time of the machine. Some machinery cannot have point of operation guards and may be fitted with shields. A point

8、of operation guard prevents the worker from reaching into the point of operation, a shield does not prevent this action. On manual lathes, shields are used to provide some protection against contact with a rotating chuck and the point of operation. Power Transmission Transmits energy to the part of
