Whiletheideaofeatingplasticisunsettlinginitselfthemajorconcernhereisthattheseplasticparticlescontain

chemicalsthatcandisturbourbody'snaturalreleaseofhormones,potentiallyincreasingourriskofreproductive

disordersandcertaincancers.Theycanalsocarryheavymetalsontheirsurface.

Inthepast,researchershaveshownbottledwatercancontaintensofthousandsofidentifiableplasticpiecesin

asinglecontainer.However,untilrecently,onlythelargermicroplasticsweredetectablewithavailablemeasuring
