在具體的某一時刻或者某些固定搭配中使用。如:at7:25在七點二十五分;atnoon在中午;atmidnight在午夜。(2)somethingterrible一件可怕的事情。當形容詞用來修飾復合不定代詞時要放在代詞的后面。其中terrible是形容詞,意為“可怕的,非常嚴重的”。其副詞為terribly(極其,可怕地)。如:Howterriblethestormis!這場風暴真是太可怕了!3.JasonGlenandhisfamilylosteverythinginabighousefire.(1)lost是動詞lose的過去式,意為“失去,丟失”。它通常指因為事故、不幸、過失等失去某人或者某物。lost還可作形容詞,意為“丟失的;迷失的”。常用短語:loseheart灰心,失去信心;loseone'slife失去某人的生命;loseweight減肥;belostin陷入……,被……吸引住;be/getlost=loseone'sway/loseoneself迷路。如:Whendidyouloseyourpen?你什么時候把你的鋼筆弄丟的?(2)fire是名詞,意為“火,火災”。當其表示“火災”時,是可數名詞;表示“火”時,是不可數名詞。常用短語:beonfire著火(表狀態);catchfire著火(表動作);playwithfire玩火;startafire引起火災,生火;putoutfire滅火。如:It'sdangeroustoplaywithfire.玩火很危險。4.Jason,don'tbeafraid.don'tbeafraid是一個否定祈使句。它是在以動詞原形開頭的肯定祈使句前面加上don't構成。有時為了表示禮貌,可以在句首或者句末加上please。如:Comein.進來。→Don'tcomein.別進來。其他否定祈使句結構:No+名詞/動名詞!如:Noparking!禁止停車!Letsbdosth!如:Let'sgoshopping!我們去購物吧!5.Sotheycameupwithaplan.comeupwith想出,提出(主意、辦法、想法等),相當于thinkup。如:It'sdifficultforthemtocomeupwithanewwayinsuchashorttime.他們很難在這么短的時間內想出新的辦法。【學以致用】

$1200.raise是動詞,意為“籌集,募集;舉起(相當于lift),提高,抬手;養育,種植;建立(相當于setup)”。常用短語:raisemoney籌錢。如:Theyareraisingmoneyforthestudentsinpoorareas.他們正在為貧困地區的學生籌錢。Hetrieshisbesttoraisehisbigfamily.他盡最大的努力養活他一大家子人。8.Therearemanywaystohelpothers.waystohelpothers幫助別人的方式。其中動詞不定式作定語,修飾前面的名詞ways。當動詞不定式作定語修飾名詞時,要放在被修飾詞的后面。如:Gosh!Ihavetoomuchhomeworktodo.天啊!我有太多作業要做了。9.Donate—collectandgiveawaythingslikesclothes,food,toys,books,etc.giveaway是動副型短語,意為“贈送,分發”。當代詞作其賓語時,要放在give與away之間。如:Youcangiveawayyourclothestothecharity.你可以把你的衣服捐給慈善機構。1.Thethingsaregetting______(糟糕).Whatshouldwedo?2.Astrangething________
