Therearemanystudentslivingatschool,the

(child)housesareallfarfromschoo1.

(give)tomorrowiswrittenbyProfessorZhang. 另外還有幾個不定代詞的形式變化,如noone/none、other/another等。【典例】:Thekingdecidedtoseethepainterby

(he). 例:Iam——(tall)thanLiuWen.Heisthetalleststudentsinmyclass.

once/twice【典例】:TomythreesonsIleavemyseventeenhorses.Myeldestsonshalltakeahalf,mysecondsonshalltakea

(three). 【典例】:Liouslosthiswalletyesterday,sohewasvery____(happiness). 【典例】:Hedidnotdone_____hisfatherhadaskedhimtodo. 【典例】:Those_____wanttogotothevillagemustsignhere. 【典例】:MrsBakerwasill,soherdaughterhadtoaskforleavetotake_____ofher. 【典例】:MrSmithtookaplanetoLondon____oftakingatrain. 技巧5:連詞、關聯短語結構常用的連詞有and,or,but,so,for,while等,常用的關聯短語有both…and...,either…or...,neither…nor...,notonly…butalso... 技巧6:冠詞、介詞和常用的副詞冠詞只能是在a,an,the之間判斷;常用的介詞有in,at,on,before,during等,通常考查固定搭配;副詞的量還是比較多,如:however,never,yet,much等。【典例】:OldTom’sgranddaughterusedtovisithim_____Saturdayafternoon. Chineselacquerware(漆器)isoneoftheoldestkindsoftraditionalartinChina.Makinglacquerware11(require)patienceandskills.Thereareseveralstepsinmakingit.First,choosingthematerialsisimportant.Wood,bamboo,orclayarecommonlyused.Then,theobjectiscovered12manylayers(層)ofspeciallacquerfromtreesap(樹液).Eachlayerhastodry13(full)beforethenextoneisadded.Afterthat,onceenoughlayersareputon,thesurfaceismadesmooth14polishing.Lacquerwarecomesinmany15(form),includingplates,bowls,andcups.Itisoftendecorated(裝飾)withbeautifulpatternslikeflowersandanimals.Thepatternsare16(paint)orcarvedintothesurface.Inthepast,lacquerwarewasmostlyusedbyrichpeoplebecauseitwasexpensivetomake.17nowitisavailabletomorepeople,andsomeitemsaremoreaffordable.18(it)beautyisadmiredworldwide.VisitorstoChinesemuseumscanoftensee19(wonder)examplesoflacquerware.Inmoderntimes,manypeoplestillmakelacquerware,tryingtokeepthisancientart.Therearealsocompetitionsforthe20(good)designs.Chineselacquerwareisasymboloftheskillsandcreativityoftheartists.Whetheryouseeitinamuseumoruseitinyourdailylife,lacquerwareissuretoleaveyoualastingimpression. Thislessonhasguidedherinmanyways.Thelessonwaslearnedfromacharitymarathon(慈善馬拉松).Lastyear,Monica’sschoolheldamarathontoraisemoneyforpeopleinpoorareas.Eachstudentcouldgetadonation(捐款)of200yuanafter2(finish)themarathon.Itwasso3(mean)thatalmostallthestudentswantedtoattendit.SodidMonica.Althoughshewasnotgoodatrunning,shesignedupfortherun.4,thetaskwasfarfromeasyforher.Soonafterthebeginningofthemarathon,alltheotherrunnersran5(fast)thanher,whichmadeMonicaupsetandnervous.Shetriedherbesttocatchupwiththem,butshealmostfell6theground!Herheartbottomedout.Sheevenwantedtogiveup,butsheknewshecouldn’t!Itwasarunforlove!Suddenly,she7(hear)aloudvoice“Runatyourownbestspeed!”Sheliftedherheadandfounditwasfromherfather.Monicathoughtforawhile.Thenshepulledherforcetogetherandstartedagain.Thistime,shepaid8attentiontootherrunners,butranasifshewastheonlyrunneronthefield.Herfatherwastotallyright.Overtime,Monicaranmoreeasilyandmorequickly.Monicafoundherownrunningspeed,andbelievedshecouldcarrythemarathonon.Afterabouttwohours,Monicafinallycompletedthemarathonandevenwonthesecond!9anexcellentresult!Monica’sfatheratthefinishlinegaveherabighug,andtheylaughed10(happy)together.Comparingyourselfwithotherscouldbealimitation(限制),So,justliveatyourownspeed.
