intrinsicvalue.Stockandsharecertificatesareevidenceofyourstakeinacompany,or,

availabletobebought,andbuyersavailabletobuythem?Howcantherebeamarketat
all,ifthepublicallwanttobuyatthesametime?Stockexchangesinothercountries
havefounddifferentsolutionstotheproblemofprovidingacontinuousandfreemarket
insecurities,withvaryingdegreesofsuccess.InBritain,theessentialfreedomis
providedbyaspecialgroupofStockExchangeMemberFinns,theJobbers,who
constituteauniquefeatureoftheBritishmarketsystem.Inothercountries,Broken
attempttomatchupbuyersandsellerswitheachotherdirectly.Here,theJobbersactas
stallholdersinthemarket.AtthesestallsaBrokercanbuyorsellfbrhisclientwhatever
quantityofshareshewishes.Thereisnoneedtohuntforamatchingamount;theJobber
