11、is document as LGW). This manual serves Information Systems professionals of varying levels of expertise. This manual includes some conceptual information but mainly focuses on the commands used in bringing the Gateway on-line and managing it.AudienceThis manual provides information about the Media

12、Gateway. The target audience of this manual is network administrators and Information Systems professionals who install and maintain Next Generation Network (NGN) equipment. This manual assumes that the administrator of the Media Gateway is knowledgeable about the concepts, network topologies, and L

13、ocal Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) protocols discussed in this manual. Although this manual provides some background material about concepts, topologies, and protocols, it is not intended as a comprehensive reference document on those topics.Contact the Technical Assistance CenterYo

15、he actions that preceded itInformation from crash dump files (if possible).2. OVERVIEWThere is a big amount of RSU install base in the fields, and still increasing the deployment yet. With the NGN development, migration to the new network must be taken into account for the operators. Due to the crit

16、ical situation of telecommunication market, a Line Gateway with a very low CAPEX and OPEX consumption is looked forward to. A solution saving the former investments is welcome by the market. To implement these requirements, a basic idea is to combine RSU and A75xx AGW blade in one product with reusi

17、ng the existing S12 line cards and RSU access product, so-called LGW. It shall be controlled by a soft switch (A5020 MGC) under H.248/Megaco protocol via the Blade interface. As mentioned, LGW it is combined product: GW blade is facing to the NGN network to provide the IP connection, while IPRB is h

18、andling the legacy cluster links, S12s internal communication channels, to control the legacy S12 line card related. With the combination, LGW offers the extreme perfect solution to the NGN migration. The doc covers the LGW-IPRB MB install guide and operation commands, while the operation commands o

19、f DB parts is described in other documents. 3.
