活動報道是媒體傳遞信息最常使用的新聞手段。為了讓讀者對整個事情有個清楚的了解，英語新聞報

道（或評論）必須包含五個要素，即：時間（when）,地點（where）,人物（who）,事件（what）以及原因

（why）。新聞報道是以客觀事實為基礎的樸實的文體，但是寫作過程中仍然要根據不同的內容靈活運用各

種表達手法：或敘述，或描寫，或議論或夾敘夾議。新聞報道的語言應該是具體真實的，盡量少用抽象的

概念。同時，時態上一般都是一般過去時和一般現在時的結合。

通知有兩種，即口頭通知和書面通知。口頭通知要有稱呼用語。如：在正式場合用的Ladiesandgentlemen,

對學生用的Boysandgirls等。書面通知的正文上面的正中有NOTICE或ANNOUNCEMENT標志。
