Withthisinmind,researchersatKyushuUniversityinJapanrecentlycreatedanear-

futureperceptionsystemnamedPreviewedRealitythatallowshumanuserstoforecast

futurechangesintheirenvironment,whichcouldtheninformtheirdecisionsandguide

theiractions.Thissystemcompilesadata-setcontaininginformationaboutthe

positionofobjects,humansandrobotswithinthesameenvironment,tothenproduce

simulations(模擬)ofeventsthatcouldtakeplaceinthenearfuture.Thesesimulations

arepresentedtohumanusersviaVirtualReality(VR)orAugmentedReality(AR)

headsets.

Tocollectinformationaboutthepositionofdifferentobjects,robots,andhumansina

sharedenvironment,theresearchersusedanumberofstrategicallyplacedsensors,

includingopticaltrackersthatmonitoredthemovementsofobjectsorrobots,anda

RGB-Dcamerawhichmainlytrackedhumanactions.Thedatagatheredbythe

sensorswasthenfedtoamotionplannerandadynamicssimulator.Combiningthese

twosystemcomponentsallowedtheresearcherstoforecastchangesinagiven

environmentandsynthesize(合成)imagesofeventsthatarelikelytooccurinthenear

future,fromtheviewpointofaspecifichuman.Humanuserscouldthenviewthese

synthesizedimagessimplythroughaVRheadsetoranARdisplay.

“Thissystemprovideshuman-friendlycommunicationbetweenahumananda
