Populationsizeandmigration

ThepopulationofthecountryasofJanuary1,2024amountedto20033.5thousandpeople,includingurban–12451thousand(62.2%),rural–7582.5thousand(37.8%)people.

InJanuary-December2023,comparedtoJanuary-December2022,thenumberofarrivalsinKazakhstanincreasedby46.9%,thenumberofdeparturesfromKazakhstandecreasedby33.8%.

ThemainmigrationexchangeofthecountrytakesplacewiththeCIScountries.TheshareofarrivalsfromtheCIScountriesanddeparturestothesecountriesamountedto86.4%and77.3%,respectively.

Thenumberofmigrantsmovingwithinthecountryincreasedby27.5%.Intermsofinterregionalmovements,apos-itivenetmigrationofpopulationhasdevelopedin3regionsofthecountry:thecitiesofAstana(50078people),Almaty(38113people)andShymkent(3416people).

Ofthefoodproducts,thepricesfortomatoesincreasedby18.5%,cucumbers–by14.9%,sweetpeppersby–12.1%,garlic–by7.4%.eggs–by5%,freshfruits–by3.2%,wheatbreadmadefrom–by1.9%,drinkingmilk–by1.1%,fishandseafood–by0.9%,blacktea,fruitandvegetablejuices–by0,8%,pasta–by0.5%.Teincreaseinpricesfortobaccoproductwashotedby3%.Sunfloweroilfellinpriceby1.7%,sugar–by1.4%,bulbonions–1.3%,carrot–1.1%,cabbage–by0.7%.

Cucumbersoftheclosedgroundroseinpriceby4.5%,tomatoesoftheclosedground–by3.1%,andonionsfellinpriceby2.1%,potatoes–by1.5%.Sheeproseinpriceby0.9%,horses–by0.3%andpoultrymeatfellinpriceby2.3%.Pricesforchickeneggsincreasedby4.9%,cow'smilk–by0.5%.

InJanuary2024,thevolumeofinvestmentsinfixedcapitalamountedto790.8billiontenge,whichis0.6%morethaninJanuary2023.

Thepredominantsourcesofinvestmentfinancingremaintheownfundsofeconomicentities,thevolumeofwhichinJanuary2024amountedto653.3billiontenge.

InJanuary2024,comparedwithJanuary2023,thereisanincreaseсostsforthepurchaseofmachinery,equipmentandvehiclesandtheircapitalrepairsby49.6%.

AsignificantshareofinvestmentsinfixedcapitalinJanuary2024accountedforminingandquarrying(37%),operationswithrealestate(18.2%),transportandwarehousing(15.5%)andmanufacturingindustry(11.7%).

ThevolumeofinvestmentsoflargeenterprisesinJanuary2024amountedto319.6billiontenge.

Statisticsofdomestictrade

ThevolumeofretailtradeinJanuary2024amountedto1174.3billiontenge,whichis3.7%morethanthecorrespond-ingperiodin2023.Retailsalesofgoodsbytradingenterprisesincreasedby7.6%,individualentrepreneurs,includingthosetradinginthemarkets,decreasedby9.1%comparedtoJanuary2023.

AsofFebruary1,2024,thevolumeofcommoditystocksoftradingenterprises(forreportingenterprises)inretailtradeamountedto1594.3billiontenge,intradingdays-78days.

Theshareoffoodproductsinthetotalvolumeofretailtradeis26.8%,non-foodproducts–73.2%.ThevolumeofsalesoffoodproductscomparedtoJanuary2023decreasedby0.9%,non-foodproductsincreasedby5.8%.

ThevolumeofwholesaletradeinJanuary2024amountedto2644.1billiontenge,or3.4%morethanthecorre-spondingperiodin2023.Non-foodproductsandindustrialandtechnicalproducts(80%)prevailinthestructureofwholesaletrade.
