考點歸納1．可數名詞的復數變化1)規(guī)則變化(1)大多數都直接在名詞后加-s。(2)以-s,-x,-ch,-sh結尾的名詞加-es。(3)以元音字母+y結尾的名詞加-s，如boys，days；但以輔音字母+y結尾的名詞，先變y為i，再加-es，如babies，flies，libraries;以輔音字母+y結尾的專有名詞直接加-s，如Marys，Henrys等。(4)以-o結尾的名詞，大多數在詞尾加-s，如bamboos，radios，photos，kilos，但也有少數加-es，如potatoes，tomatoes，heroes;而zero兩種形式均可。(5)-f，-fe結尾的名詞，大部分將-f，-fe改成v，再加-es，如knives，halves，thieves,shelves，leaves，wives，wolves；但也有少數直接加-s，如roofs，beliefs，safes；而handkerchief和scarf兩種均可。背記小口訣：妻子(wife)持刀(knife)去砍狼(wolf)，小偷(thief)嚇得發(fā)了慌；躲在架(shelf)下保己（self）命(life)，半(half)片樹葉(leaf)遮面包（loaf）。2)不規(guī)則變化(1)單復數同形sheep，fish，deer，Chinese，Japanese。(2)變內部元音man－men，tooth－teeth，mouse－mice，foot－feet，goose－geese。(3)其他形式。child－childrenox－oxengrown-up－grown-upspasser-by－passers-bybrother-in-law－brothers-in-lawman與woman作定語修飾的名詞改為復數時，兩者都要改為復數，如：twowomendoctors，manymenleaders。3)特殊的復數形式(1)只有復數，沒有單數形式。如：trousers褲子，clothes衣服，shorts短褲，goods商品，glasses眼鏡，shoes鞋子等。(2)集合名詞不能用具體的數字修飾，只能在其前加the表示全體，如：thepolice，theEnglish，thepeople，動詞也用復數形式，但family，class，team，group等集合名詞，若指整體，看作單數形式，若指其中的成員，則看作復數形式，動詞也應該有相應變化。注意：可數名詞的量可以用many，few，afew，a(large/great)numberof，agreat/goodmany等來修飾，而some，several，any，enough，most，alotof，lotsof，plentyof，alarge／smallquantityof等既可以修飾可數名詞，也可以修飾不可數名詞。2．不可數名詞(1)不可數名詞一般只有單數形式，前面不能直接加冠詞，但在一些固定短語中有些不可數名詞也可轉化為可數名詞，如haveagoodtime，aheavyrain，astrongwind等。(2)不可數名詞可以用much，little，alittle，agreatdealof，alarge/smallamount等來修飾，當這些做主語時，主要看量的單位形式決定其謂語動詞的單復數。3．常以復數形式出現的名詞People(人)，clothes(衣服)，trousers(褲子)，police(警察)，glasses(眼鏡)，這些名詞做主語時，同學們應特別注意它們的謂語要用復數。4.復數形式的單數名詞有些名詞看似復數形式，實際上是單數。這一點是同學不易掌握的，應特別加以記憶。如：news(消息)，maths(數學)，physics(物理)，Nonewsisgoodnews．5.名詞的所有格(1)名詞所有格一般都是在結尾加’s，如Kate’s，但以-s結尾的復數，只加“’”，如Teachers’Day;of+名詞用來表示無生命東西的所有關系，如theproblemoftheAmericans。但表示時間、距離、國家、地點等無生命的名詞，所有格也有’s的形式，如twodays’trip。(2)當某物為兩人共有時，名詞所有格為A+B’s。而當某物為各人所有時為A’s+B’s。(3)雙重屬格則指：of屬格+名詞所有格／名詞性物主代詞，如acousinofmyfather's，afriendofmine。三）考題精講【例1】Inherletter,AuntHuangtoldusmany_____abouthervisittoEgypt.A.newsB.storiesC.informationD.truth【解析】many只能修飾可數名詞的復數，而A、C和D均為不可數名詞，因此正確答案為B。【例2】Theyboughtsome_____atthesupermarketyesterday.(potato)【解析】potato是可數名詞，some既可修飾可數名詞的復數，又可修飾不可數名詞，而potato是以o結尾的特殊類型加-es，所以應填potatoes．【例3】Shanghaiisoneofthebiggest____intheworld.(city)【解析】以元音字母+y結尾的名詞加-s，如boys,days但以輔音字母+y結尾的名詞，先變y為i，再加-es，如babies,flies,libraries；而city屬于后者，因此正確答案為cities。【例4】It'sover_______fromShanghaitoNanjing.A.threehours'driveB.threehour'sdriveC.threehoursdrives D.threehoursdrive【解析】三小時開車的路程，表示時間、距離、國家、地點等無生命的名詞，所有格也有's的形式，因此選A.（四）考點精練Ⅰ.Choosethebestanswer1.
