3.MyViewonPart-timelobsRecentyearsmoreandmorecollegestudentsareeagertofindpart-timejobsintheirsparetime.Astowhetheritisworthwhiledrawingmuchattentiontothejobfromcollegestudypeople'sattitudesvarygreatly.Myopinionisthatstudentsshouldgivetopprioritytoacademicperformancewhiletakingapart-timejob.Ontheonehandtakingupapart-timejobmayhelpthestudentsinmanyrespects--stimulatelearningmoreefficientlyexploretheknowledgeoutsidethebooksandevengainthefinancialindependence.Alsotheexperienceoftakingthepart-timejobisaperfectpreparationforthestudents'futurejob-huntingcompetition.Ontheotherhandpart-timejobshavestrongnegativeinfluenceonthestudents'study.Andtheworkwhichoftenmakesastudentunderstrongpressurecanonlybedoneatthecostofthetimeinwhichthestudentsshouldstudyforthemselves.Itisevidentthatthereisalwaysaconflictbetweenstudyandwork.Inmyopinionwhetheritisworthwhiletakingapart-timejobdependsonourabilitytodealwiththerelationshipbetweenstudiesandworkproperly.IfthereisaconflictbetweenstudyandworkforastudentIthinkheshouldputatoppriorityonwhetheritisagoodhelptohisacademicperformance.MyViewonPart-timelobsRecentyears,moreandmorecollegestudentsareeagertofindpart-timejobsintheirsparetime.Astowhetheritisworthwhiledrawingmuchattentiontothejobfromcollegestudy,people'sattitudesvarygreatly.Myopinionisthatstudentsshouldgivetopprioritytoacademicperformancewhiletakingapart-timejob.Ontheonehand,takingupapart-timejobmayhelpthestudentsinmanyrespects--stimulatelearningmoreefficiently,exploretheknowledgeoutsidethebooksandevengainthefinancialindependence.Also,theexperienceoftakingthepart-timejobisaperfectpreparationforthestudents'futurejob-huntingcompetition.Ontheotherhand,part-timejobshavestrongnegativeinfluenceonthestudents'study.Andthework,whichoftenmakesastudentunderstrongpressure,canonlybedoneatthecostofthetimeinwhichthestudentsshouldstudyforthemselves.Itisevidentthatthereisalwaysaconflictbetweenstudyandwork.Inmyopinion,whetheritisworthwhiletakingapart-timejobdependsonourabilitytodealwiththerelationshipbetweenstudiesandworkproperly.Ifthereisaconflictbetweenstudyandwork,forastudent,Ithink,heshouldputatoppriorityonwhetheritisagoodhelptohisacademicperformance.
4.THENEWSPAPER:ABETTERSOURCEOFNEWSOverthepasthundredyearsnewspapershaveplayedanimportantroleinoursocialpoliticalandeconomiclife.Butformostofustodaytelevisionhasbecomeourmainsourceofnews.Accordingtoaquestionnaireon"waysofobtaininginformation"nearly72percentofthepeoplewatchTVandonly12percentreadnewspapersfortheirdailynews.Perhapsthegreatdisparityofratioresultsfromtheeasyaccesstotelevisionnowadays.Thishoweverputsusinaverydisadvantageouspositionforthenewspaperisabettersourceofnewsinmanyways.Althoughtelevisionnewsexcelsinbringingintoourlivingroomdramaticeventsofsingularimportance:spacecraftlaunchingsnaturaldisastersrecord-breakingsportseventswarsandsoonyetitcannotcoverimportantstoriesinthedepththeymaydeservebecauseofitstimelimit.Newspapershowevercandevotetoanewsitemasmuchspaceasnecessaryandfleshitoutwithmoredetails.Furthermoretelevisionbynatureisapassivemedium.Itdeprivesviewersofthefreedomofseiection.Whetheryoulikeordislikeaparticularpieceofnews'youhavetositbeforethetubeandwatchitfollowingitspacepassively.Butbyreadingnewspapersyoucanselectthemostinterestingnewsandskipoverwhatyouthinkisboringorirrelevant.Youcanreadsomenewsingreatdetailorjustrunthroughitbriefly.AlsowatchingTVinvolvesverylittleifanymentalactivityandaconstantdietoftelevisionjournalismleadstothedeclineingeneralintellectualskillssuchasreadingandwriting.Incontrasttothistheprintmedia
