本片面是在SectionA的根基上，通過對自然和文化的對比過渡到了動物這一話題。本片面呈現了大象、熊貓以及熊貓研究基地相關的內容，通過聽、說、讀、寫等活動，引導學生學習更多表達對比的句式布局，了解大熊貓等瀕危動物，培養養護動物的意識。2a--2e是一個閱讀板塊。閱讀材料是關于大熊貓的一篇報道，具有說明文的一些征。2a的讀前活動供給了一些詞匯，讓學生自己組織語言說一說大熊貓，為2b的閱讀活動做好了話題打定。2b要求學生閱讀文章，運用尋讀法（scanning），快速查找每個數字所表達的意義。2c的讀后活動讓學生再次運用尋讀策略，根據問題所要求的信息點快速定位并找出問題的答案。2d是通過對文本細節信息的理解并運用文中的語言將相關句子補充完整。2e是一個開放性的問題，要求學生想出更多方法扶助拯救大熊貓，啟發學生斟酌。
