從解構主義創造性翻譯理論比較研究杜甫七言絕句的英文翻譯的中期報告IntroductionTranslationtheoryhasalwaysbeenasubjectofinterestforscholarsandpractitioners,asitentailsthetransferofmeaningfromonelanguagetoanother.Oneofthechallengesthattranslatorsfaceishowtopreservethesourcetext’sculturalandlinguisticnuanceswhilemakingitaccessibletothetargetreadership.Thiscomparativestudyaimstoexplorethedifferencesandsimilaritiesbetweentwotranslationtheories,DeconstructionistandCreativeTranslation,andassesstheirpracticalrelevancetothetranslationofDuFu’sSeven-characterQuatrainsintoEnglish.BackgroundDuFu’sSeven-characterQuatrainsfromtheTangdynasty(618-907)isoneofthemostcelebratedworksinChinesepoetry,anditstranslationsintoEnglishhavelongbeenasubjectofinterestforscholarsandtranslators.Thistypeofpoetryhasadistinctstructure,consistingoffourversesofsevencharacterseach,whichcreatesabalancedrhythmandmusicality.Moreover,DuFu’swritingstyleischaracterizedbyitscompleximagery,figurativelanguage,andphilosophicalthemes.Asaresult,translatingDuFu’spoetryrequiresnotonlylinguisticproficiencyinbothlanguagesbutalsoanunderstandingoftheculturalandhistoricalcontextsembeddedinthetext.DeconstructionistTranslationTheoryDeconstructionistTranslationTheoryisapostmodernapproachtotranslationthatassertsthereisnosuchthingasafixed,unchangingmeaningofthesourcetext.Instead,meaningiscontingentandfluid,anditcanbedeconstructedandreconstructedthroughthetranslator’sinterpretation.Thus,theprimaryobjectiveoftheDeconstructionisttranslatoristochallengeandsubvertthe“original”textandcreateanew,alternativeversionthatreflectstheirsubjectiveinterpretation.CreativeTranslationTheoryCreativeTranslationTheory,ontheotherhand,emphasizesthetranslator’screativeagencyandautonomyinshapingthetargettext.Itrecognizesthattranslationisnotamechanicalprocessoftransferringwordsfromonelanguagetoanotherbutratheracreativeactivitythatinvolvesrespondingtothesourcetext’saesthetics,style,andtone.Thecreativetranslatorseekstoproduceatargettextthatisnotonlylinguisticallyfaithfulbutalsocapturesthespiritandintentionofthesourcetextinawaythatresonateswiththetargetaudience.ComparisonandAnalysisTheDeconstructionistandCreativeTranslationtheoriesdifferintheirepistemologicalandontologicalassumptions.Theformerismoreconcernedwiththedestabilizationandsubversionofthe“original”text,whilethelatterprioritizesthetranslator’screativeengagementwiththesourcetext.Nevertheless,boththeoriesreflectashiftawayfromthetraditionalnotionoftranslationasaprocessofsubstitutingwordsandphrasesfromonelanguagetoanothertoamoreholisticanddynamicapproachthatconsiderstranslationasacreative,interpretativeprocess.InthecaseoftranslatingDuFu’sSeven-characterQuatrainsintoEnglish,boththeorieshavetheirstrengthsandlimitations.DeconstructionistTranslationTheorycanbevaluableinrevealingtheunderlyingculturalandhistoricalcontextsthatareembeddedinthesourcetext.Itenablesthetranslatortouncoverandchallengetheestablishedmeaningsandconventionsofthesourcetextandcreateanew,alternativeversionthatreflectstheirinterpretivestance.However,itcanalsoleadtoalossofcoherenceandunityinthetargettextduetotheabsenceofafixedmeaning.CreativeTranslationTheory,ontheotherhand,canbeusefulincapturingthepoeticandmusicalqualitiesofthesourcetext.Itallowsthetranslatortobemoreflexibleandexperimentalintheirapproachandtocreateatargettextthatisaestheticallyandstylisticallymatchingtotheoriginal.However,itcanalsoleadtothelossofculturalandhistoricalreferencesthatareessentialtothesourcetext,resultinginatargettextthatlacksdepthandinsightintotheoriginalwork.ConclusionThiscomparativestudyhasdemonstratedthedifferencesandsimilaritiesbetweenDeconstructionistandCreativeTranslationTheoriesinthecontextoftranslatingDuFu’sSeven-characterQuatrainsintoEnglish.Boththeorieshavetheirstrengthsandlimitations,andtheirpracticalrele
